SYMPTOMSGroove Virtual Office 3.x cannot
communicate off the local subnet on computers that use AT&T cellular
wireless Internet.CAUSEThis issue occurs because a helper application for AT&T
cellular wireless Internet prevents Groove Virtual Office 3.x from
communicating with Groove Relay Server.
If your computer is configured
for AT&T cellular wireless Internet, the computer may be running a helper application
called NetGain. This application compresses wireless connection data and sends
the data to a server. The server then decompresses the data and sends the data out to the
Internet.
The NetGain application appears to prevent Groove Virtual
Office 3.x from communicating with servers that are running Groove Relay Server. Therefore, awareness notifications,
messages, and workspace communications that are sent or received through
the Relay Server server fail.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, disable the NetGain
application.MORE INFORMATION
