SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You double-click a resolved user name in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. The resolved user name is for a user in the global address list (GAL) of the Microsoft Exchange Server organization. In this scenario, the E-mail Properties dialog box is displayed. And, the E-mail type box in this dialog box is set to SMTP.

Note You may expect the user name to be resolved as the user's display name. Additionally, when you double-click the resolved user name, you may expect the User_display_name Properties dialog box to be displayed. This dialog box includes all the GAL properties for the user.

CAUSE
