Error message when you start a game: "INSB7.tmp ordinal 6778 not found in MFC42.dll" (916910)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start one of the games that are listed in the "Applies To" section, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
INSB7.tmp ordinal 6778 not found in MFC42.dll

CAUSE

This issue occurs when one of the following conditions is true:
  • Files in the Temp folder are causing a conflict.
  • The game files that are installed have been corrupted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Close all open programs that are running, and then restart the computer.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type %temp%, and then click OK.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
  4. On the File menu, click Delete.
  5. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
  6. Try to start the game. If you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, remove the game and then reinstall the game.
