SYMPTOMS

When you use the tilt wheel on a Microsoft mouse to scroll horizontally in a Microsoft Word document, the Word document does not scroll horizontally.

Note This issue does not occur when you use a tilt wheel mouse to scroll vertically in a Word document.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the horizontal scroll bar is turned off in the Word document. By design, a tilt wheel mouse supports the horizontal scroll action only when the horizontal scroll bar is available in the Word document.
