INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to distribute licenses for different editions of Groove Virtual Office to users in a managed Groove domain.

MORE INFORMATION

To distribute licenses for different editions of Groove Virtual Office, use either of the following methods:
  • Create a group for each license type in Groove Enterprise Management Server. Then, move members into the appropriate group. You can make these groups exclusive.
  • Assign the higher license level to a domain. Then, create a restricted subdomain. For example, some users in your organization have a Groove Virtual Office File Sharing Edition license. And, some users have a Groove Virtual Office Professional Edition license. In this example, you can put the users who have the Groove Virtual Office File Sharing Edition license in a subdomain. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Select the domain, and then import the Groove Virtual Office Professional Edition license. When you do this, all users will have the Groove Virtual Office Professional Edition license.
    2. Create a group for File Sharing Edition users. This group will automatically inherit the license.
    3. In this File Sharing Edition group, revoke the Professional Edition license, and then import the File Sharing Edition license.
    4. Move members to the appropriate group.
