Error message when you start Groove Virtual Office or Groove Workspace: "Invalid Class String" (916420)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Groove Virtual Office or Groove Workspace, you receive the following error message:
Invalid Class String.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Jscript.dll file is missing, is unregistered, or is corrupted. The Jscript.dll file may become corrupted when you reinstall software that registers the file. For example, the Jscript.dll file may become corrupted when you reinstall Internet Explorer.

RESOLUTION

For Groove to function correctly, you must replace or register this file.
