INTRODUCTION

This article describes how policy changes in Groove Management Server are distributed to clients.

MORE INFORMATION

Groove Management Server does not push changes out to Groove clients. Instead, Groove Management Server passes any changes in policy to each client the next time that client contacts Groove Management Server. Groove may be active for up to 5 hours before a client fetches a policy change.

When you are on a Groove client, you can obtain these changes promptly by initiating a license update. When Groove connects to Groove Management Server to obtain license information, Groove downloads any changes to the domain policies at the same time.

To initiate a license update, follow these steps:
  1. On the Help menu, click About Groove.
  2. Click Licenses, and then click Update.
