INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to stop the transmission of lots of data that you added to a workspace in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove Workspace.

MORE INFORMATION

If you add lots of data to a workspace and then discover that sending the data is using too many resources, you can use Communications Manager to pause workspace synchronization until the resources are free.

If the data is not needed in the workspace, for example, if you accidentally add the wrong file to the Files tool, you may be able to stop sending the data. If no one in the workspace has yet received the data, you can delete the data in the workspace and then run the GrooveClean utility to discard your outgoing data queues.

GrooveClean deletes both incoming and outgoing data. Therefore, any instant messages that were waiting to be sent or received will be lost. All other workspace changes will be automatically recovered.

To run GrooveClean, follow these steps:
  1. Delete the new data from the workspace.
  2. Exit Groove.
  3. In Windows Explorer, open the following folder:

    %systemdrive%:\Program Files\Groove Networks\Groove\Bin

  4. Double-click GrooveClean.exe.
  5. Restart Groove.
