The information that is listed for a Groove contact is under the control of that contact's account or domain (for a managed account). Other people cannot change the information. This is a security feature of Groove.

You may have have a contact that does not originate in Groove. For example, the contact may be imported from Microsoft Outlook. In this case, you can modify the information for that contact, because the information does not fall under the same security scheme.
