INTRODUCTION

This article describes different messages that you may receive when you try to download a deleted file from the Files tool in Groove Workspace and in Groove Virtual Office.

MORE INFORMATION

You might use Folder Properties in the Files tool to manually download files or to limit automatic downloads to files that are under a certain size. When you do this, the local workspace record still obtains information about files when the files are added to the Files tool. However, the local workspace record does not obtain information about modifications to files that have not been downloaded. These modifications include deletions.

When you try to download a file, Groove queries other members of the workspace for that file. If no other members have the file, you receive an error message that states that the file is permanently unavailable.

If no online members have the file, but some members are offline, you receive an error message that states that the file is temporarily unavailable.
