INTRODUCTION

This article describes the significance of the different colors and icons that are used in the Contacts list in Groove Workspace and in Groove Virtual Office.

MORE INFORMATION

In Groove Workspace, the padlock and check mark symbols on the Contacts list indicate the trust level of the associated contact. This trust level may be created manually. Alternatively, the trust level may be derived from a domain trust relationship that is created by a Groove administrator on Groove Management Server. Managed users keep their certificates in their Groove identity. This enables other managed users to verify the users' certification state. To verify the certification state of another managed user, right-click the contact name, and then click Authenticate.

Contacts who do not have a trust icon are not authenticated by any means.

In Groove Virtual Office, the padlock and check mark indicators are replaced by colors. Contact names are displayed in various colors. These colors have the following meanings:
  • Green: Manually authenticated
  • Teal: Authenticated by your Groove domain
  • Blue: Authenticated by a domain that is trusted by your Groove domain
  • Black: Not authenticated
  • Red: Name conflict
For more information about the indicators that are used in Groove, see the "Groove indicators" topic in the Groove Workspace User's Guide or the "Authenticating contact identities" topic in the Groove Virtual Office User's Guide.
