A Groove account and a Groove Web site account are separate and unrelated accounts.

Groove account

You can use a Groove account to log on to a Groove application such as Groove, Groove Workspace 2.x, or Groove Virtual Office 3.x. A Groove account holds your personal Groove information, your shared space information, and the keys to decrypt that information. You cannot reset the password for your Groove account in a version of Groove that is earlier than 3.0. However, you can reset the password if you are on a managed device in a Groove domain, and your domain administrator configures recovery options. In later versions of Groove, Groove users who are not in managed domains have a reset option, and users within managed domains may have this option depending on the security settings that are chosen by your domain administrator.

Groove Web site account

A Groove Web site account is a traditional Web site account that is controlled by Groove Networks. To access this account, visit the following Groove Web site:At the top of the home page on the Groove Web site, click Log In. On the "my account" page, type your logon information. This account holds information that you have shared with other users such as demographic and billing information. With this account, you can post in other forums, and you can receive news from other users if you want. If you are a partner, you can access PartnerNet with this account. You access this account by using a traditional Web site password that the Groove Networks Web maintainers can change.
