You can use some software or Internet filtering applications to selectively filter items such as advertisements, pop-up windows, cookies, and JavaScript from your browser. Typically, this software re-routes traffic through a proxy that the software establishes on one of the computer's open ports. These ports are not likely to be ports that Groove recognizes and can use to communicate.

Some of this software has options that you can configure so that traffic to or from a designated domain is not filtered. To restore communications in Groove, configure the software so that traffic to and from the Groove.net Web site is not filtered.
