SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- You run the Cluster.exe command on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based cluster node to grant Change Level permissions to a cluster file share.
- The cluster file share is located on a group that is owned by the cluster node.
In this scenario, the Change Level permissions are not selected in the properties of the file share.
Note This problem does not occur on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based cluster node.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
