Error message when you open a managed identity in Groove: "Identity Enrollment Failed" (915657)

SYMPTOMS

You open a managed identity in Groove Workspace or in Groove Virtual Office. The connection to Groove Management Server is interrupted during the opening process. When this occurs, you receive the following error message:
Identity Enrollment Failed - Groove

You will not see the authentication and trust icons associated with your Groove contacts, although you will be able to use Groove. Please contact your Groove administrator.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Groove icon in the notification area, and then select Exit Groove.
  2. Restart Groove.
If Groove Management Server can be accessed, the opening process is completed.
