INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to enable the Groove Lotus Notes OnRamp feature if you install Lotus Notes after you install Groove Virtual Office or Groove Workspace.

MORE INFORMATION

To enable Lotus Notes to use the Groove Lotus Notes OnRamp feature, follow these steps:
  1. Exit Lotus Notes.
  2. Open the Notes.ini file in a text editor such as Notepad. Then, search the file for an AddInMenus= Path entry. Typically, the Notes.ini file is located in the following directory:

    Drive:\Notes

    Notes
    • Path is the placeholder for the path of the file or folder.
    • Drive is the placeholder for the drive on which you installed Lotus Notes.
  3. If the AddInMenus entry already exists, add a comma at the end of the line. Then, type the full path of the Groovenotesonramp.dll file. The default path of the Groovenotesonramp.dll file in Groove Virtual Office and in Groove Workspace is as follows:

    AddInMenus=C:\Progra~1\Groove~1\Groove\Bin\GrooveNotesOnRamp.dll

    Notes
    • The Groovenotesonramp.dll file may be in another folder. Search the hard disk for Groovenotesonramp.dll to confirm the location of the file.
    • You cannot use any spaces in the path that you type in the Notes.ini file. Therefore, the path will most likely have to use the FAT 8.3 compatible format. For example, C:\Program Files\ in FAT 8.3 compatible format is usually C:\Progra~1\. To display FAT-compatible name mappings for files and folders in your current folders, run the following command at a command prompt:

      dir /x

  4. If the AddInMenus entry does not exist, create it. Then, go to step 3 to configure the entry to equal the full path of the Groovenotesonramp.dll file.
