SYMPTOMS

When a particular contact tries to send you a instant message in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove Workspace, you receive the following error message:

Groove received a message from a more recent product version.
Groove can't process the message until you update to a compatible version.

Additionally, the instant message from the contact is not displayed.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you receive an instant message from someone who is using a later version of Groove that is incompatible with the version that you are using.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, upgrade to a compatible version of Groove.
