SYMPTOMS

In versions of Groove that are earlier than Groove Workspace 2.5, a workspace that contains a large chat transcript may take a long time to open.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to the latest version of Groove.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, delete the transcript. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Copy any chat text that you want to preserve. Then, paste the text into another tool or program.
  2. Right-click the chat pane, click Chat, and then click Delete Transcript.
