How to integrate the users of another managed Groove domain into your managed Groove domain (915621)

To integrate the users of other managed Groove domains into your managed Groove domain, use the "Export domain member list" functionality in the members area of the Groove Enterprise Management Server (EMS). An example of this procedure is as follows:

1. Blue Yonder Airlines has bought Wingtip Toys. The Groove domain administrators at Blue Yonder Airlines must make the Wingtip Toys managed Groove identities into Blue Yonder Airlines managed Groove identities.
2. A Blue Yonder Airlines Groove administrator logs onto the Wingtip Toys EMS, and then exports the Wingtip Toys domain member list. This creates a Comma-separated values (CSV) file of all Wingtip Toys Groove users.
3. A Blue Yonder Airlines Groove administrator logs onto the Blue Yonder Airlines EMS and imports the Wingtip Toys domain member list. This creates a set of users who have the same names that the users had in Wingtip Toys. However, the activation codes are controlled by Blue Yonder Airlines.
4. The Blue Yonder Airlines Groove administrator applies the registry key by adding devices to the computers that used to be part of the Wingtip Toys domain. Therefore, these computers become managed devices on the Blue Yonder Airlines domain.
   
   Note If this step is omitted, the Wingtip Toys users cannot convert their existing identities.
5. The Blue Yonder Airlines Groove administrator issues Blue Yonder Airlines identities to the migrated users. These identities have the same names as their old identities.
6. The migrated users open the Groove Help menu, click Activate Product, and then click to select the Convert identity option. This option is the default choice in this scenario.
   
   This procedure converts the identities of the migrated users to the new Blue Yonder Airlines identities, but leaves their workspace memberships intact.

Note You can modify this basic procedure to create a new, third domain from the two original domains.
