Internet Explorer unexpectedly closes when you refresh a Web page (915585)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office Communicator 2005

SYMPTOMS

When you refresh a Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer unexpectedly closes if the Web page contains a Microsoft Windows Messenger object.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 is installed on the computer.
  • Communicator 2005 is not running when you refresh the Web page that contains a Windows Messenger object.

RESOLUTION

How to obtain the hotfix
