You can configure Groove Virtual Office 3.x to notify you when a particular Groove contact logs on to Groove.

You can set a contact message in Groove to inform you when a specific Groove contact logs on to Groove. Groove cannot inform you when a Microsoft Windows Messenger contact logs on to Windows Messenger. If a Windows Messenger contact that you select to invite to a workspace does not yet have Groove installed, the contact is prompted to download Groove when the contact receives the invitation.
