INTRODUCTION

This article describes the various sources for the Groove Contacts list.

MORE INFORMATION

Depending on the version of Groove that you are running, you can choose from various sources when you compile a Contacts list. These sources may be searched separately when you send a message.

Groove Virtual Office

In Groove Virtual Office, the contacts that you add to the Contacts list are listed in the To field of a new message. To select contacts from another source, follow these steps:
  1. In the new message, click Add More, and then click Search for User.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the Starts With box.

Note Your search can be based on any column. For example, you can search by the Full Name or the Personal Email column.
  3. Select a source in the In list, and then click Find.
The available sources are as follows:
  • Known Groove Users

The Known Groove Users source lists all the members of your workspaces, all the contacts that you add to your Contacts list, and all Groove contacts that are represented in your Message History. You cannot delete a contact from this list. Contacts will be removed from this list when they no longer qualify for inclusion on the list.

  • Groove.net Directory

The Groove.net Directory source lets you search all Groove identities who want to list their presence on the Groove.net public Web directory, and who have logged on to their Groove accounts in the past 30 days. Other Groove contacts are considered inactive and are not displayed.
  • Your_Domain_Name Directory

If you belong to a Groove managed domain, the domain directory is also a source for contacts.

Note Your_Domain_Name is a placeholder for your domain name.

Groove Workspace

To select contacts from another source in Groove Workspace or in earlier versions of Groove, follow these steps:
  1. Click Recipients, and then click a source to open the Search dialog box.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the Search for box.

Note Your search can be based on any column. For example, you can search by the Full Name or the Personal Email column.
