This article describes the limitations of folder synchronization in Groove Mobile Workspace for Microsoft SharePoint.

In Microsoft SharePoint, folders are not reported. However, SharePoint does report its files. Therefore, Groove Mobile Workspace for Microsoft SharePoint only knows that a folder exists when you add a file to that folder. Additionally, if you delete all the files from a folder in SharePoint, Groove cannot tell if the folder is still there or if it has been deleted. To avoid data loss, Groove will leave the empty folder in the workspace.
