You cannot remove the OEM version of Groove that is supplied with the ProEngineer software of the Product Development Company (PTC) by using Add or Remove Programs in Groove (915526)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot remove the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version of Groove that is supplied as part of the ProEngineer software from Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) by using Add or Remove Programs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use the Setup program from PTC. To do this, browse the PTC installation disk, double-click Setup, and then follow their instructions for removing the OEM version of Groove.

MORE INFORMATION

After the PTC removal has completed, you will still have Groove data on the computer. This behavior can cause problems if you install Groove to a different set of data directories later.
