SYMPTOMS

If you start to fetch a workspace and then click Cancel in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove Workspace, Groove continues to download the data. Then, Groove deletes the data after it has been fetched.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Groove cannot stop the transfer of the baseline Groove data for a workspace after the transfer starts. If the transfer were stopped, a synchronization problem would occur for the workspace. Similarly, if you disconnect from the network in the middle of fetching a workspace, all fetched data is discarded. Therefore, you must fetch the workspace later.

MORE INFORMATION

After you have the workspace, you may configure each folder in the Files tool so that files that are added to the workspace will not be automatically fetched from other members. Alternatively, you can configure each folder so that files are automatically fetched only if they are smaller than the size that you specify. This helps if you have limited bandwidth.

Note In Groove Workspace 2.x, these limits are by workspace instead of by member. Only a manager can change these limits.
