INTRODUCTION
This article describes the Office 2003 issue that is fixed in the Office 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package that is dated April 24, 2006.
Issues that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
New Office 2003 functionality that is added in this hotfix
When you install the hotfix that is described in this article, a new functionality is added to Office 2003. This new functionality allows the Office Source Engine to recognize system environment variables in the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Delivery\SourceEngine\Downloads\{OfficeProductGUID}\Sources\{OfficeProductGUID}

The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time.
