SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. A Microsoft Outlook user in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 organization sends an e-mail message to a distribution list. The display name of the distribution list contains DBCS characters. The distribution list includes a Lotus Notes user. But, the distribution list does not have a Lotus Notes proxy address in Active Directory. Then, the Lotus Notes user replies to the e-mail message that was sent by the Outlook user. In this scenario, the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes service stops on the server that is running Exchange Server 2003.CAUSEThis problem occurs if the heap memory is corrupted.

Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
