Restart information
You must stop the Communicator Web Access site before you install this update. Then, you must restart the Web site as soon as the update is installed. If you do not stop the Communicator Web Access site first, you must restart the computer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Expand the local computer, and then expand Web Sites.
- Right-click the Web site that corresponds to Communicator Web Access, and then click Stop.
- Wait for 40 seconds to make sure that the W3Wp.exe process that is associated with the Web site is unloaded.
- Install this update.
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Expand the local computer, and then expand Web Sites.
- Right-click the Web site that corresponds to Communicator Web Access, and then click Start.

Update removal information
To remove this update package, follow these steps.
Note You must first stop the Communicator Web Access site before you uninstall this update package. If you do not, you must restart the computer.
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Expand the local computer, and then expand Web Sites.
- Right-click the Web site that corresponds to Communicator Web Access, and then click Stop.
- Wait for 40 seconds to make sure that the W3Wp.exe process that is associated with the Web site is unloaded.
- Click Start, point to Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then remove this update.
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Expand the local computer, and then expand Web Sites.
- Right-click the Web site that corresponds to Communicator Web Access, and then click Start.
Note If you remove all updates from Communicator Web Access, the Management Console snap-in will no longer run.
