SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install an operating system in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message: OS not found
Install an OS on this hard drive CAUSEThis issue may occur if the following conditions are true: - You purchased the operating system that you are trying to install together with Virtual PC for Mac Version 7. For example, you purchased Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 with Windows XP Professional.
And, you are trying to install Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
- When you created the virtual machine, you clicked Install your own operating system.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps: - Start Virtual PC for Mac Version 7.
- Click New.
- Click Install from a Virtual PC for Mac CD, and then click Next.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the installation.
