SYMPTOMSYou may experience the following symptoms in Microsoft Money: - In Microsoft Money 2006, exchange rates are not updated on the schedule that you configured.
- In Microsoft Money 2005, quotes are automatically updated when the Update prices information check box is not selected.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when one of the following conditions is true: - In Money 2006, exchange rates are updated when you open Portfolio Manager.
- In Money 2005, quotes are updated when exchange rates are updated.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior in Money 2005, remove the stock symbol for each investment that you do not want to automatically update. Or, click to clear the symbol for a stock. Note In Money 2005 and in Money 2006, you cannot prevent Exchange rates from updating.
To remove the symbol for a stock, follow these steps: - Start Money.
- Click Investing, and then click Portfolio Manager.
- Double-click the investment that you want to remove.
- Click Details, delete the symbol that you want in the Symbol box, and then click Done.
To click to clear the symbol for a stock, follow these steps: - Start Money.
- Click Investing, and then click Portfolio Manager.
- Click Update Prices, and then click Pick Quotes to Download.
- Click to clear the check boxes for the investment that you do not want to automatically update, and then click OK.
