INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to add the floppy disk drive as a menu command on the Send To menu in the Files tool in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove Workspace.

MORE INFORMATION

In the Files tool, when you right-click a file and then click Send To, the menu command options that appear are obtained from Microsoft Windows. If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, the floppy disk drive will appear on the Send To menu. However, this drive will not appear if you are using Microsoft Windows XP. To change the menu commands that appear when you click Send To, follow these steps:
  1. Insert a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type sendto, and then click OK.
  3. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Shortcut.
  4. In the Type the location of this item box, type A:, and then click Next.
  5. In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type the shortcut name, and then click Finish. For example, type 3.5 Floppy.
To test this shortcut, right-click a file in the Files tool, point to Send To, and then click the shortcut that you just created.
