You cannot fetch a workspace from another workspace member in Groove (914724)

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You use Groove Virtual Office or Groove Workspace on multiple computers. You try to fetch a workspace from another workspace member on one computer. However, you accept the workspace invitation from a second computer that is running the same Groove account. Additionally, the second computer already has that workspace.

In this scenario, the fetch request stops receiving data. Additionally, the following message persists until you click Cancel:Fetching from

CAUSE

This issue occurs because when you accept the workspace invitation, the sending account considers the invitation process to be completed. The sending account then stops transmitting data.

When you try to fetch a workspace from another workspace member instead of from your other computer, the fetch request generates an invitation from the other member. You must accept that invitation on the computer on which you made the fetch request.

When you accept an invitation to a workspace on a computer that already has that workspace, the invitation acts as a "come here" function. The invitation process then brings you to the workspace on that computer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, cancel the fetch request, and then fetch the workspace again.
