SYMPTOMS

When Groove Workspace or Groove Virtual Office closes unexpectedly during a co-edit session in the Files tool, you may experience problems with awareness indicators and display features after you restart Groove.

For example, when Groove closes unexpectedly during a co-edit session, your status remains Active in the Review Together indicator that is on the Groove toolbar in Microsoft Word. Therefore, other members of the co-edit session will continue to see you as being active in the session.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, rejoin the co-edit session, leave the session, and then rejoin again.

Note When you rejoin the co-edit session, you will not receive the expected Groove floating toolbar. To display the toolbar, click Toolbars on the View menu in Word, and then click Groove.
