How to view the online status of contacts in Groove Virtual Office and in Groove Workspace (914621)

You will always be able to view the online status of contacts who are members of your workspace. You will also be able to view the tools that they have open, whether they are active in the workspace, and other authentication information. For contacts who are not members of your workspace, you will be able to see the contacts who are online and who are ready to use Groove only if they have selected options to reveal their online status to you.

To view the online status of contacts who are members of your workspace, start Groove Virtual Office, and then enter a workspace. Or, select the workspace in Workspace Manager. Alternatively, start Groove Workspace 2.5, and then enter the shared workspace. Or, click the shared workspace in My Spaces. To view additional information about the member, hold the pointer over the name of the member.

To view the online status of contacts who are not members of your workspace, view the Contacts list. To view the Contacts list if you are using Groove Virtual Office, click the Contacts tab. Or, click Contact Manager on the Options menu. To view the Contacts list if you are using Groove Workspace 2.5, click Go To, and then click My Contacts. The Contacts list contains icons next to the contact name. These icons indicate the contact's online status.
