Your computer must meet the following minimum requirements to run Groove Virtual Office 3.1.

Operating system

The computer must be running one of the following operating systems:
  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or a later service pack
  • Windows Millennium Edition
  • Windows 98
File sharing workspaces are a new type of Groove workspace that works directly with folders in the Windows file system. File sharing workspaces are not supported on Windows NT 4.0.

Hardware requirements

  • Intel Pentium 400-megahertz (MHz) processor (or equivalent)
  • 256 megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM) (512 MB RAM recommended)
  • 100 MB available hard disk space (60 MB of additional space is required for your data)
  • 800 x 600 display resolution, 16 bit (65,536 colors)
  • Sound card, speakers, and microphone (required to use voice features)

Software requirements

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or a later version of Internet Explorer
  • Lotus Notes 5.0 or a later version of Lotus Notes (required to use Groove and Lotus Notes integration features)
  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, Outlook 2002, or Outlook 2000 (required to use Groove and Outlook integration features)
  • Microsoft Office 2003, Office XP, or Office 2000 (required to use Groove and Office integration features)

Internet connection

  • 56 Kbps dial-up Internet connection (local area network with Internet access, DSL, or cable modem recommended)
