INTRODUCTIONThis article describes the limitations of viewing an HTML
document in the Groove Files tool in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove
Workspace.MORE INFORMATIONYou can view HTML documents in the Groove Files tool.
However, any dependencies on other documents in the standard workspace will not
work.
A Web page is usually composed of a collection of documents.
These documents include a base HTML document and supporting HTML documents,
images, style sheets, or other files that are linked to in the base document.
The references in the base document depend on the other files maintaining their
names and directory relationships. If the supporting
documents are included in a standard workspace, they will not be at the
locations that are specified in the links
in the base document. Therefore, the links and any
display features that depend on the supporting
files will not work. Even if the directory structure
and names are used, the Groove encryption makes the linked files unreadable
from the browser.
However, if you have the Web page files in a Groove
file sharing workspace, and the links use relative paths, the links will work.
Links that use absolute paths will work only if the path name on the local
computer matches the path name on the originating computer.
