The GPS pane unexpectedly appears when you change the start and stop positions in the Route Planner in Streets & Trips 2006 or in Autoroute 2006 (914341)

SYMPTOMS

When you perform the following actions in the Route Planner in Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 or in Microsoft Autoroute 2006 English (United Kingdom), the GPS pane may unexpectedly appear:
  • Add two addresses to the route in the Route Planner.
  • Right-click the second stop in the Route Planner, and then click Add as Start.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, change back to the Route Planner. Then, use the up and down arrows that are next to your stops to change the start and stop positions.

Or, right-click the actual stop on the map that is displayed, and then click Route. Select Add as Start or select Add as Stop as required.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
