Error message when you try to exit Excel 2003: "Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file" (913770)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to exit Microsoft Office Excel 2003, you may receive the following error message: Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file ' path'. There are several possible reasons: - The file name or path does not exist.
- The file is being used by another program.
- The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
CAUSEThis problem may occur if the following conditions are true: - You helped protect the Excel workbook by using Information Rights Management (IRM).
- You do not save or close the workbook.
- You click Exit on the File menu.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, save IRM-protected Excel workbooks before you try to exit Excel. To save a workbook, click Save on the File menu. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
