The following features are added in Small Business Accounting 2006 SP2:
  • The Add All to Register option is added on the Match Downloaded Transactions screen when transactions are downloaded or imported for a credit card account.
  • The following customization fields are added to the Microsoft Word templates in Small Business Accounting 2006:
    • Memo
    • Reference
  • The Select all/Clear all check box is added to the following forms:
    • The Customer payment form

      Note The Select all/Clear all check box appears in the first header column.
    • The Pay bills form

      Note The Select all/Clear all check box appears in the first header column.
    • The Reconcile account form

      Note The Select all/Clear all check box appears in the first header column.
  • When a time entry is converted to an invoice, the description of the service item on the invoice will be a combination of the start date and the description from the time entry form.
  • The Finish later option is added to the Reconcile account form. When you click Finish later, you can perform a partial reconciliation.
  • Journal entry totals are now displayed at the bottom of the Credit and Debit columns on the Journal entry form.
The following issues are fixed in Small Business Accounting 2006 SP2. These issues were not previously documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
  • When you start Small Business Accounting 2006, you receive a message that states that registration failed after you activated the product. This issue occurs if a registration ID was not entered.
  • Certain unsupported banks that appeared in the Select a Financial Institution for Online Banking section were removed.
  • When you select certain banks in the Select a Financial Institution for Online Banking section, you receive one of the following error messages:
    String Input too long
    General OFX Error
    Assertion and String Input is too long
    Bank Account must be associated with a financial institution
  • You receive messages that contain debugging information when you are not running a debugging version of Small Business Accounting 2006.
  • You may receive a message that states that Microsoft Small Business Accounting 2006 has encountered a problem and needs to close when Small Business Accounting 2006 tries to refresh the Spotlight area of the Company Dashboard.
  • When you pay a bill by using the Pay Bills feature, memos on checks appear in the following format:

    Vendor Name: Bill Number paid with the check

    After you install Service Pack 2, memos on checks appear in the following format:

    Vendor Account Number

  • When Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is disabled on the computer, and you try to enable multiuser settings, you receive a message that states that Microsoft Small Business Accounting 2006 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
  • When Small Business Accounting 2006 is installed on a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows, you may receive a message that states that Microsoft Small Business Accounting 2006 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
  • When you delete a time entry line from an invoice, the status remains as "Invoiced" on all time entries that are associated with the invoice.
