SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Microsoft Money 2005 or Microsoft Money 2006, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
The procedure entry point GetRequestedRuntimeInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library mscoree.dll.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you install Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition over the top of the Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1. This issue can also occur if there are problems with the existing .Net Framework 1.1 installation.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method for your situation.

Method 1: Download and then install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

If the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed on the computer, download and then install the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
