This article describes how to create custom policies in the Groove Enterprise Management Server to allow only specific versions of TeamDirection tools.

To allow only specific versions of TeamDirection Dashboard and TeamDirection Project to be available to users, create a custom installation policy on the Groove Enterprise Management Server. To do this, follow these steps,

Note The following procedure restricts all users to version 2.6.0.2020 of the TeamDirection tools.
  1. In the desired domain on the server, click the Policies tab in the right pane, and then click Edit Device Policies.
  2. Under Install Policy, click to select both the Enable Policy check box and the Deny Automatic Component Upgrade check box.
  3. Under Install Components From, click Anywhere.
  4. Under Allow All Users to Install, click No Components.
  5. Click Create a Custom Install Policy.
  6. In the Display Name box, type TeamDirection.
  7. In the Digital Fingerprint box, type cd87 d1f6 d3de 960e 75fe 3b68 0ee5 78ec 99ba a42c. This is the TeamDirection fingerprint.
  8. In the Allow Users to Install box, click No Component.
  9. Click New.
  10. In the Component Name box, type com.teamdirection.tdproject.v2x.TeamProject_TPL, click the operator that you want, and then type 2.6.0.2020 for the version number. Set the Policy to Allow.
  11. Click New.
  12. In the new Component Name box, type com.teamdirection.tdproject.v2x.TeamDashboard_TPL, click the operator that you want, and then type 2.6.0.2020 for the version number. Set the Policy to Allow.
  13. Click OK, and then click Submit.
