MORE INFORMATION

To allow only specific versions of Groove components to be available to users, create a custom installation policy on the Groove Enterprise Management Server. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In the desired domain on the server, click the Policies tab in the right pane, and then click Edit Device Policies.
  2. Under Install Policy, click to select both the Enable Policy check box and the Deny Automatic Component Upgrade check box.
  3. Under Install Components From, click Anywhere.
  4. Under Allow All Users to Install, click No Components.
  5. Click Create a Custom Install Policy.
  6. In the Display Name box, type Groove Versions.
  7. In the Digital Fingerprint box, type 40 db 38 96 51 77 7f b5 9e a1 a6 e7 e7 85 87 b3 26 a7 a2 d8. This is the Groove Networks fingerprint.
  8. In the Allow Users to Install box, click No Component.
  9. Click New.
  10. In the Component Name box, type groove.net.Groove.Core, click the operator that you want, and then type the full version number. For example, for Groove Virtual Office 3.0e, you would type 3.0.2250. To obtain this number, click About Groove on the Help menu.

  12. In the new Component Name box, type groove.net.Groove.Updates, click the operator that you want, and then type the full version number.
