SYMPTOMS
After you install or Identity Management for UNIX on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer, event messages are logged in the Application log.
For example, after you install Identity Management for UNIX together with the Password Synchronization component, the following event messages are logged in the Application log.

WORKAROUND
Note The event messages that are logged after you uninstall Identity Management for UNIX can be safely ignored.
To work around this problem, change the encryption key after you install Identity Management for UNIX. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Identity Management for UNIX.
- Right-click Password Synchronization, and then click Properties.
- On the Settings tab, type the key that you want to use in the Encryption/Decryption key box.
Note Identity Management for UNIX can create a new key for you. To do this, click New Key on the Settings tab. - Click Apply to save the settings.
