When you use the Microsoft System Center Reporting Manager (SCRM) 2006 configuration user interface, you cannot create or delete entries in the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) OnePoint database tables. These tables are responsible for warehouse connections.

A named instance of SQL Server

To create or to delete entries in the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 SP1 OnePoint database tables that are running on a named instance of SQL Server, follow these steps:
  1. Start SQL Query Analyzer, and then connect to the named instance in SQL Server.
  2. In SQL Query Analyzer, type the following commands.
    GRANT EXECUTE ON [dbo].[WriteReportingSetting] TO [SC DW DTS]
    GO
    GRANT EXECUTE ON [dbo].[DeleteReportingSetting] TO [SC DW DTS]
    GO
    
  3. Exit SQL Query Analyzer.
  4. Use the SCRM 2006 configuration user interface to create or to delete the tables.

  1. Download the MOM2005-SP1-KB912787-X86-ENU.MSI file.
  2. Install the MOM2005-SP1-KB912787-X86-ENU.MSI file on each applicable computer that meets the following criteria:
    • The computer is a management group MOM database server that connects to the SCRM warehouse.
    • The computer runs a script that grants permissions to create and delete entries for members of the SC DW DTS group.
    Note This hotfix must be installed by a user who has DBO permissions for the OnePoint database.
