Error message after you click "Refresh" in the Online Banking Setup Wizard in Small Business Accounting 2006: "Failed to update the Financial Information. Invalid URI, the URI is empty" (912696)

SYMPTOMS

After you click Refresh in the Online Banking Setup Wizard in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 version 1.0.2912.1, you receive the following error message:
Failed to update the Financial Information. Invalid URI, the URI is empty.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the unique application ID that is stored in the Small Business Accounting database is incorrect. The unique application ID is used to identify the application to banks when you use online banking. This application ID is not updated in Small Business Accounting version 1.0.2912.1 to correspond to the application ID of other Microsoft applications that are used to download bank transactions.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download Service Pack 1 for Business Contact Manager Update and Small Business Accounting. This service pack updates Small Business Accounting to version 1.0.3223.1. This version contains the correct application ID.
