FIX: SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services may stop responding because a deadlock condition occurs (912335)

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, Analysis Services may stop responding because a deadlock condition occurs.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the deadlock condition occurs between the thread that handles the notification event and the thread that handles a relink event.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
