The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Content Management Server 2002
- Microsoft Word 2000
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to copy and paste a Microsoft Word 2000 document into the HTML placeholder control of a Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 template, the MCMS 2002 template does not retain the Word 2000 styles correctly. You experience this behavior when you try to copy and paste a document that contains text and bullets.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because Word 2000 uses the msoNormal style when Word 2000 exports the document to HTML format.WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, preview the document as a Web page, copy the document to the Clipboard, and then paste the document into the HTML placeholder control of the MCMS 2002 template. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the File menu in Word 2000, click Web Page Preview.
- Select the area of the document that you want to copy.
- Right-click the selection, and then click Copy.
- Position the pointer in the HTML placeholder control of the MCMS 2002 template, right-click, and then click Paste.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
