SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Small Business Accounting has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. To see what data this error report contains, click here.
After you click, you see a report that contains an error message that is similar to the following message:
System.MissingMethodException: Method not found.
After you receive the second error message, Small Business Accounting stops responding.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you install the stand-alone version of Small Business Accounting 2006 after you install Service Pack 1 for Business Contact Manager Update and Small Business Accounting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, reinstall Service Pack 1 for Business Contact Manager Update and Small Business Accounting. For more information about this service pack, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
