You cannot access Microsoft Office Online from a Microsoft Office 2003 program (912160)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to connect to Microsoft Office Online from a Microsoft Office 2003 program, the Office 2003 program may stop responding.CAUSEThis issue may occur if the following conditions are true: - The computer that you are using to connect to the Office Online Web site is behind Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004.
- The proxy settings for the ISA Server 2004 are not configured correctly.
Note This issue may also occur with other third-party proxy server programs. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, turn on the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections setting in Internet Options. To do this, follow these steps: - Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then click to select the Use HTTP 1.1 check box under HTTP 1.1 settings.
- Click to select the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections check box under HTTP 1.1 settings, and then click OK.
- Visit the Office Online Web site to verify that the issue is resolved.
If the issue is not resolved, follow these steps. Note After you follow these steps, you must quit and then restart the Office 2003 programs for the changes to take effect. - Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then click to clear the Use HTTP 1.1 check box under HTTP 1.1 settings.
- Click to clear the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections check box under HTTP 1.1 settings, and then click OK.
- Visit the Office Online Web site to verify that the issue is resolved.
