SYMPTOMSWhen you try to play Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3: Battle for Europe on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you may receive one of the following error messages: Config override file is outdated Generic error occurred while
saving XML document to file CAUSEThis issue occurs because the user profile is corrupted.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, create a new administrative account, and then use it to play the game. Note
A user who has administrative credentials must create a new administrator account. - Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
- In the console tree, click Users.
- On the Action menu, click New User.
- Type the appropriate information in the dialog box.
- Click to select or click to clear the following check boxes:
- User must change password at next logon
- User cannot change password
- Password never expires Account is disabled
Click Create, and then click Close. - Double-click the new user, and then click the Member of tab.
- Click Add, and then type administrators
in the Select Groups dialog box.
- Click Check names to resolve the administrator group object, and then click OK.
